The book is an attempted criticism of Maharshi Aurobindo ‘s poetry and an acceptance of the sadhaka, yogi and maharshi as poet and poetry as sadhna. Mainly, the shorter poems have been dealt with as we know Sri Aurobindo is so much transcendental and reflective in his approach to poetry, but devoid of romantic strain. A poet he is metaphysical and abstract in his poetic thought and idea. Poetry comes to him through dhyan-yoga and he sees it all through that prism of delving.
