Rodentia – Rise of the Rodents was inspired by the various research on rodents, which includes mice and rats. They have been utilized as experimental models in biomedical research because their anatomy, physiology, and genetics are very similar to humans. Moreover, rodents are used for studying neurobehavioral disorders, which include neurodegenerative, neurodevelopmental, and psychiatric disorders. The author imagined future research in genetics and biotechnology leading to the development of hyper-intelligent rodents capable of exterminating humans.
