The Chain Gang began as a memory — of long Karachi afternoons, bicycles scraping over broken paths, and friendships that felt like entire worlds. It is a story about five boys, one park, and the summer that taught us courage. It’s about loyalty, mischief, and the belief that even the smallest voices can stand up for the places they love. I wrote this for every child who ever fought to protect their playground, their street, or their little corner of the world — and for every grown-up who still carries those memories quietly inside them.
