The Blue Boy of Vrindavan is a memorial poem; an imagistic one taking us to Vrindavan of yore, to Gokul, to the banks of the Yamuna in a symbolic way, opening new vistas of thought and reflection. To see it otherwise, it is a poem of paintings: how the painters have painted, sketched, and drawn the imagery of the Blue Boy.
